In the wake of the global COVID-19 pandemic, podcasts have emerged as an influential platform for disseminating information. This current study attempts to depict the realization of Mood congruency in COVID-19 podcast discourse. Departing from qualitative approach, content analysis was employed as research design. The source of the data was obtained from Dedy Corbuzier’s YouTube Channel with Uus (comedian) as the guest in 2021 when COVID-19 case was known and recognized in Indonesia for the first time. The data were in the form of clauses obtained from the utterances from them. The utterances were electronically transcribed using sonix.ai before being rechecked manually to improve the data's reliability. From the analysis, it was found that the variation of Mood is appeared in the form of congruent and incongruent (grammatical metaphorical representation). The congruent representation shows how utterance should be in the form as it is. On the other hand, the grammatical metaphorical representation of Mood brings out the variation such as statement realized in interrogative, and command in declarative Mood. The incongruency can perform an indication of speakers’ creativity and politeness in interaction.</p>2024-03-20T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Malque Publishinghttps://www.malque.pub/ojs/index.php/msj/article/view/2778Fraud risk judgments performance: The role of audit technology, task structure, and auditor competence2024-02-26T11:16:47+00:00Dadek Nandemardnande1970@gmail.comHaliahhaliah@fe.unhas.ac.idSyarifuddinsyarif1963@yahoo.comNirwananirwana01.unifa@gmail.com<p>This study aims to examine the factors affecting auditor performance in fraud risk judgment, specifically audit technology, task structure, and auditor competence. It explores the interaction effects of audit technology, task structure, and auditor competence on fraud risk judgments performance. Employing a survey method and partial least square analysis responses from 59 state auditors at the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) Representative Office in Southeast Sulawesi Province. The results indicate that audit technology, task structure, and auditor competence each have a positive and significant impact on fraud risk judgment performance. However, the combined interaction effect of audit technology, task structure, and auditor competence does not significantly influence fraud risk judgments performance. Given these findings, further investigation is warranted to enhance our understanding of these tasks and to refine audit technology specifications for improved fraud risk evaluation.</p>2024-03-20T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Malque Publishinghttps://www.malque.pub/ojs/index.php/msj/article/view/2087Reducing the emission of harmful gases from pig manure using different doses of biodestructors2024-02-01T14:25:43+00:00Mariia Vorobelvorobelmariia@gmail.comMyron Petryshyn ma.petryshyn@gmail.comVasyl Kaplinskyivasyl.kaplinskiy@gmail.comOleh Klymklum-oleg@ukr.netYurii Kovalskyiprikarpatmed@ukr.netTaras Prudyustarasvet126@gmail.comOksana Smolianinova oksana_s@inenbiol.com.uaAndrii Pylypets pylyp-andriy@ukr.netMariia Tsap mm_tsap@meta.uaViktoriia Momut v.vishchur@gmail.com<p>The anthropogenic impact of the functioning of livestock complexes on the environment is caused by the release of gaseous air pollutants into the atmosphere, including harmful gases such as methane (CH4), carbon dioxide (CO2), ammonia (NH3), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), nitrogen oxide (NO) and nitrous oxide (N2O). The latter cause environmental degradation and have a negative impact on the climate balance of the planet. Therefore, the basis of the planned research was to evaluate the effectiveness of different doses of "Scarabei" and "Vodohrai Chystyi Khliv" biodestructors on the emission of harmful gases from pig manure <em>in vitro</em>. In the process of conducting experimental studies, it was established that the addition of "Scarabei" and "Vodohrai Chystyi Khliv" biodestructors to pig waste helps to reduce the level of CH4 emissions up to 14.4% and 22.3%, NH3 up to 23.7% and 39.7%, H2S up to 22.2% and 38.2%, CO2 up to 23.4% and 35.6%, NO up to 14.6% and 23.2%, respectively. Simultaneously, with the reduction of emissions of the studied gases, biodestructors also provide a lower level of pH, i.e., its shift to the acidic side up to 5.54 ("Scarabei") and 5.12 ("Vodohrai Chystyi Khliv"), against 6.2–6.5 – in the control. Thus, the results obtained indicate the feasibility of using the studied biodestructors, such as "Scarabei" and "Vodohrai Chystyi Khliv" at a dose of 40 g/m3 for lower emissions of harmful gases, both when storing manure in storage facilities (lagoons) and directly in the pig keeping premises, which will prevent the negative impact of intensive pig production on the environment.</p>2024-03-18T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Malque Publishinghttps://www.malque.pub/ojs/index.php/msj/article/view/2082Breast cancer prediction: a CNN approach2024-02-03T18:24:35+00:00Dhrgam Al Kafafdhrgam.alkafaf@auib.edu.iqNoor Thamirnoor.thamir1201@sc.uobaghdad.edu.iqAdil Al-Azzawi adil.ghidan@auib.edu.iq<p>Detecting breast cancer promptly holds utmost importance in ensuring effective treatment, as it is a matter of great concern in the global health context. The primary objective of this research endeavor is to enhance the process of breast cancer identification through the utilization of a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). The purpose of this study is to mitigate potential errors in human interpretation of mammograms by comparing this approach to conventional machine-learning techniques. In our present investigation on breast imaging, we have leveraged the well-established mammographic dataset, CBIS-DDSM. This dataset effectively categorizes the images into three distinct classes: normal, benign, or malignant. This compilation encompasses a grand sum of 10,239 images. A myriad of approaches were employed to arrange the content, including the manipulation of the image dimensions to a size of 256x256 pixels. A CNN architecture that was specifically crafted was educated through the fusion of backpropagation and angle plunge techniques. Numerous measures, such as sensitivity, specificity, F1 score, and accuracy, were deftly utilized to thoroughly assess the model's effectiveness. It is truly awe-inspiring to witness the outstanding exhibition of performance showcased by the CNN model, as evidenced by the extraordinary values attained for sensitivity, specificity, F1 score, total precision, and accuracy, all of which are undeniably remarkable. These evaluations undeniably serve as irrefutable evidence that the model possesses exceptional diagnostic capabilities, surpassing even the most advanced techniques currently in use. In truth, the model's performance is so exceptional that it has firmly established itself as a pioneering force in the field, leaving other techniques astounded and trailing far behind, in utter admiration of its immense potential and resounding success. This research elucidates the ability of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) to mechanize and enhance the identification of breast cancer in mammographic images. The findings bring to light a captivating realm for forthcoming exploration, potentially fostering advancements in screen layout and the integration of more easily navigable diagnostic functionalities.</p>2024-03-18T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Malque Publishinghttps://www.malque.pub/ojs/index.php/msj/article/view/2092The relationships among intrinsic religiosity, premarital sexual permissiveness and attitudes towards abortion among believers2023-12-24T06:57:07+00:00Hoai-Duc Huynh-Tranduchth@hcmue.edu.vnDinh-Ky NguyenKynd@hcmue.edu.vnTri-Bao Nguyentribao061102@gmail.comKy LuuKyluuhihi@gmail.comNgoc-Han Nguyen-Thingochan070102@gmail.comYen-Trang Chu-Nguyenyentrang291002@gmail.comTuan-Khai Truongtuankhaipsy@gmail.com<p>In Vietnam, individuals possess the fundamental right to exercise their freedom of religion, resulting in a diverse array of religious practices observed throughout the country. Furthermore, the matter of premarital sexual permission and the associated attitudes towards abortion consistently provoke moral and religious disputes. Hence, conducting research to explore the under-researched association between intrinsic religiosity, abortion attitudes, and premarital sexual permissiveness within the context of Vietnam is necessary. The study included 181 participants who were members of popular religious groups in Vietnam, including Buddhism, Christianity, and Caodaism. The participants' ages ranged from 16 to 35 years old. Participants in the study completed measures of intrinsic religiosity (IR), attitude towards abortion (AAS), and premarital sexual permissiveness (PSP). The findings reveal differences in these among individuals with different genders and relationship statuses. The findings also indicate that individuals with high levels of intrinsic religiosity exhibit a more pro-life attitude toward abortion. Furthermore, a positive correlation between premarital sexual permissiveness and attitudes towards abortion was also found. Religiosity's influence on abortion attitudes and premarital sexual permissiveness necessitates further investigation due to its widespread appeal.</p>2024-03-15T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Malque Publishinghttps://www.malque.pub/ojs/index.php/msj/article/view/1541An ethnolinguistic study of the historical-philosophical value of the cultural art of Madura Kris2024-01-03T15:59:11+00:00Hani’ahhaniah@trunojoyo.ac.idBahtiar Mohamadmbahtiar@uum.edu.myWahid Khoirul Ikhwanwahid.ikhwan@trunojoyo.ac.id<p class="SPJAbstracttext" style="text-align: justify;">Kris is one of the potential forms of cultural wealth owned by Madura Island. Madura Kris has a distinctive shape and pamor pattern. This specialty is certainly because the krises, as a cultural heritage, illustrate local values and culture. Kris is not only a heirloom but also a cultural expression and value that is passed down from one generation to the next generation as a form of preservation. Inheritance and preservation are not just the inheritance of skills that bring economic value; moreover, inheritance is a cultural inheritance. In this cultural inheritance, philosophical values are implicitly conveyed through krises. The objective of a study linking krises and ethnolinguistics would be to examine the relationship between traditional Indonesian dagger and the cultural, linguistic, and ethnic identities of people in Southeast Asia. This study aims to understand how the Kris serves as a symbol of cultural identity and how it is used in various linguistic and ethnic contexts to convey meaning and reinforce cultural values. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with an ethnolinguistic approach. Ethnolinguistics historically reveals the cultural art of Kris to obtain a description of the value of divinity, society (togetherness), and personality (work ethic and love) contained in the cultural art of Madura Kris.</p>2024-03-22T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Malque Publishinghttps://www.malque.pub/ojs/index.php/msj/article/view/1983Real-time enhanced efficient thread level parallelism scheme for performance improvement in heterogeneous edge computing2024-01-17T23:50:14+00:00Indra Gandhiindra@crescent.educationKannan G.kannan@crescent.educationP.
